Ada joined Stanbic IBTC in 2016 and until her appointment as Head, Legal and Company Secretary, Ada was the Company Secretary of Stanbic IBTC Asset Management Limited. Prior to this, she served as a Governance Consultant with the Group Governance team of Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC with broad responsibilities for ensuring compliance with the governance requirements for some of the subsidiaries within the Stanbic IBTC Group.

Ada has also worked as a State Counsel at the Ministry of Justice, Port Harcourt, Rivers State and she also worked with Foundation Chambers where she honed her corporate, legal and advocacy skills advising both individual and corporate clients in corporate, commercial and maritime law. In 2012, Ada worked briefly for the United Nations (UN) at its headquarters in New York and later moved into the non-banking financial services where she joined Asset & Resource Management Company (ARM) acting as Company Secretarial and Compliance officer for the subsidiaries within the ARM Group. 

Ada holds a Master of Laws degree from Queen Mary University of London, UK and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Benin. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators UK, and a member of the Nigeria Bar Association.
